By reid becker (fort lauderdale, fl) – see all my reviews. This review is from: pioneer gex-inno2bk inno 2 portable xm satellite radio with mp3 capability (electronics). I bought this for my motorcycle handlebar speaker system. It has great reception except for the occasional under-the-bridge blackout which i get with my factory car radio as well. Pioneer makes a very durable product with easy to use function keys and easy to read display.

Even though the product ceased being made after 2007, it is still supported by siriusxm. I strongly suggest you download the system upgrade which can be found on the sirius website.
There have been many improvements and fixes to the original operating system. I bought a second battery for long trips because the charge only lasts three or four hours. I haven’t yet figured out why pioneer stopped making these because they are great little radios as well as mp3 players/recorders. I know there was a lawsuit with the riaa back in 2006 regarding the unit’s ability to download xm songs as mp3 files which may have caused the production to halt.
Post script: my inno fell off my motorcycle at 30mph bounced on the asphalt, battery and cover flew off. I found the pieces (not badly scratched) and put back together and to my amazement, it still works. This is a testament to the rugged construction by pioneer. 5.0 out of 5 stars good product, june 8, 2013. By lynne butler (killen, al, us) – see all my reviews. I have this little item set-up in my home for xm radio.

I can also take it outside with me too. You do need the antenna headphone s for the outside though. A little pricy maybe, but you get what you pay for in a quality product. I definitely recommend this product. 5.0 out of 5 stars great radio, april 7, 2013.
By ed olivas – see all my reviews. I love this radio-it is clear when you are working out and provides great variety.

Easy to use and a strong support resource. 5.0 out of 5 stars very satisfied, july 3, 2012. By joe – see all my reviews. The gex-inno2bk inno 2 is better suited to my needs since i can always eliminate annoying comecials if. Possible, which is an advantage for me.

5.0 out of 5 stars going strong after 4 yrs, march 22, 2011. By ottonic (beaverton, or usa) – see all my reviews. Like the title says, i’ve had my inno for over 4 yrs. And it works just as it did when i got it. I live in a nice open area so reception isn’t a problem.

Like some users stated, that it doesn’t work well indoors without the external intenna isn’t always true, i have used mine indoors behind two doors without the external intenna with no interuption, but like i said, it has to do with location, afterall, it is not meant to work indoors by itself in the first place, that is why it has the external intenna. As far as sound quality, with decent earbuds, it sounds just shy of cd quality, one user compared it to fm radio, not even close, xm is digital, fm is annalog, unless you have hd radio (which stands for hybrid digital, not high definition), but still hd radio is “local fire”, so as soon as you get out of range from the transmitter you lose your signal, with the inno and xm, you can listen to the same channel coast-to-coast. I do not use the optional antenna earphones because they are one piece, not flexible, solid plastic all the way around, even the earpieces, very uncomfortable. The menu on the inno is easy to navigate once you get used to it, and the unit itself is very durable.

Also, through the 3.5mm audio output, you can hook it up to an entertainment center using a 3.5mm to sterio rca cable, then you can really rock.
