This radio is in excellent condition all around. This radio was scarcely used and was only played indoors and has never traveled. This durable model is in clean shape with very minimal signs of previous use. The unit is has been CLEANED & TESTED. It has performed multiple channel updates. The screen has a perfect working backlight with both the contrast and dimming settings. The blue light on buttons are dim but that is exactly how this specific model was manufactured. This unit really is a treasure. It is getting harder and harder to find this model in hardly used and reliable condition like this one. There is 128 channels on the lifetime package, with the ability to add/change compatible channels when updates occur. For example, two channels were added this year; Volume 106 and Garth Brooks 55. This activated lifetime subscription can only be used from this specific receiver and cannot be transferred. The unit has had multiple channel updates and will continue to do so when needed. Although the screen displays perfect most of the buttons are not lit or are very dim. It looks natural and is common for this specific version of the SP-R2, most of them came like this from factory believe it or not.
