The unit is in good shape with no significant (see photos) surface scratches or dings, and the LCD screen is unscratched. I have heard conflicting information about performing updates, with some people saying that doing so will void the subscription and others saying it won’t. NOTE: a friend has informed me that if Sirius learns that you are not the original owner and subscriber of one of their units with a lifetime subscription, they will cancel the subscription on the unit. I have not tested this myself but the friend who informed me of this sounded like he knew what he was talking about, and that would also explain why certain kinds of updates on the unit might cause the subscription to be cancelled too.
