The Sirius SP-DOCK1 Executive Desktop Docking Station allows you to play your Sirius Sportster plug-n-play receiver in your home or office. With interchangeable cradles and auxiliary inputs, you can also listen to your favorite digital audio player, including the iPod, through this unit. The Sportster cradle can be replaced with the IPOD-CK cradle kit (item 607IPODCK), allowing you to control and charge your iPod using the SP-DOCK1 Executive Desktop Docking Station. The SP-DOCK1 is compatible with the SP-R1 Sportster and the SP-R2 Sportster Replay plug-n-play receivers. The supplied docking cradle will accommodate either receiver. The Executive Desktop Docking Station has two speakers, each with two 23mm (0.906), 4-ohm neodymium drivers loaded into a ported enclosure. The speakers can be positioned at an angle between 0° and 90°. When not in use, the speakers fold flat for easy storage. The supplied indoor/outdoor antenna attaches to the supplied Sportster docking cradle. It can be stored on a rotating platform on the top of the docking station. The 20.5′ antenna cable can be wound around the spool below the antenna platform. The antenna can be mounted outdoors or placed in a window with a suitable exposure to the orbiting Sirius satellites. The front panel of the Docking Station has a 1-1/2″ x 3/4″ LCD window with a blue backlight. The display has a clock, a numeric volume control indicator (0-50), a bar graph volume indicator (0-10 bars), a Mute display and a source display. The backlight is bright when the unit is On, and dims when the unit is Off. The front panel also includes 4 control buttons (Power, Source, Volume Down, and Volume Up), plus an IR remote control receiver (for use with the remote that comes with the Sportster receiver). The volume can be muted by pressing the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons simultaneously for 2 seconds. The SP-DOCK1 can accommodate two optional cradles: an iPod cradle kit (part # 40005) or a Universal cradle kit (part # 40010). 5 watts per channel RMS, 10 watts per channel peak. The unit has two sets of 5 vertical pins which come in contact with the docking cradle when the cradle locks into the Docking Station. Auxiliary Input 1 is a 3.5mm minijack located on the left side of the unit. It is recommended for connecting a portable audio source such as an MP3 player or CD player. Auxiliary Input 2 is a 3.5mm minijack located on the back of the unit. It is recommended for connecting a PC or other A/V source. The 3.5mm minijack line output jack, located on the back of the unit, allows you to route audio from the docked Sportster or other device to an external A/V system, separate powered subwoofer, or other audio device. The unit’s volume control adjusts the level of the Line Output. A 3.5mm minijack headphone output is located on the right side of the unit.
