This antenna is absolutely great, I have never installed it outside but it definitely obtains the best satellite radio reception when I use it indoors. If you own a “Sirius Ready or Satellite Ready” stereo receiver, you can connect it directly and actually control the channels on the Sirius Ready Receiver. If properly connected it would also display the normal text such as channel name, song title, artists etc. I have never owned a satellite ready receiver and have always used it as a stand alone player. When connected through this method I control the channels using the knob on frontside. This listing does not include the ability to use a remote. But this listing does not include one. Lifetime “Sirius Select” Channel Activation. The “Sirius Select” package on this Receiver includes Howard Stern, various sports, FOX & CNN channels, dozens of music stations and much more. There is 140+ channels on the lifetime package, with the ability to add/change compatible channels if the SiriusXM Music Package ever does so. For example, two channels were just added, Volume 106 and Garth Brooks 55. This activated lifetime subscription can only be used from this specific receiver and cannot be transferred. The unit has had multiple channel updates and will continue to do so when needed. Home Signal Distribution Kit. Because the radio has a coaxial antenna connection, it requires the use of the high-quality professional antenna. The pro antenna is part of the “Home Signal Distribution Kit” included. Although the pro antenna is designed to professionally mount to the exterior of house, it is not required for use. The antenna can remain indoors similar any other satellite radio antenna. Simply adjust antenna pointing toward or next to window and it will receive a strong signal. When I use this antenna indoors, I receive the best signal possible. SCH2P Home Radio Tuner Condition. This unit is in fully functional condition and works perfect. It is in great overall cosmetic condition with only minor wear from previous use. It has been properly stored and well taken care of. The unit had been previously used / stored inside an entertainment center and was protected from dust. The radio shows some minor wear, but nothing major. There might be a few scuffs dings on the exterior but very little. There are a few scuffs on the front but really nothing that pops out unless you closely examined it under bright light. I can guarantee you will not be let down with this set. Included at the bottom of page is A brief product description and features of the SCH2P model.
