I have had this radio for more than a year. They usually update monthly or after they have been in storage for a while – like this one. It is shown updating in one of the pics. Whenever I find these active radios I hold on to them and use them for at least 7-8 months to a year to verify that they are indeed going to keep playing and have lifetime subscriptions. I had this one in storage for more than a year and it just updated today. I have more that I will be posting in coming weeks. XM and Sirius both offered Lifetime subscriptions before they merged. I have found that only certain radio models from either are likely to have these subscriptions. Although the these are active with a lifetime subscription, the radio is an electronic item and by no means should one consider the device a lifetime unit.
