The radio has very low bass unless combined with the add-on speaker and does not create any type of loud thumping. When this radio is used with out any additional speaker for subwoofer combinations, it is designed to be used in “mono” mode. The radio and each accessory are all clean and in CLEAN and near mint shape. You could not find this special radio in much better condition, it is in near mint condition all around. Very very rarely do you ever find this model in complete condition never mind in this ex shape. If you have been searching for a lifetime activated one don’t miss out on this one! This Tivoli “Model Satellite” has been personal favorite Sirius radio for many years. I really hate to get rid of it because they are so extremely hard to find with “lifetime activated” channels. I have taken VERY good care of this radio. It was stored in an entertainment center with glass door; keeping it clean and free of dust. The analog tuning system makes Tivoli radios very popular with vintage technology enthusiasts. What makes this specific radio extra special is the guaranteed lifetime channel activation. It is so incredibly rare to find this radio model up for sale with the lifetime channel activation. The Satellite One Model is nearly a one of a kind radio in the world of Satellite Radios. Only a very small number of these radios were manufactured, making it very rare and a highly sought item. When the Model Satellite first hit store shelves Sirius probably only had 200,000 subscribers at that point. This tabletop Henry Kloss radio is a highly sought after item, a lot of big satellite fans do not even know if it’s existence. Over a decade later, there still has not been any Reciever or Radio like it in any way! In my opinion you cannot ask for a better Sirius Radio than this one… Such a great multipurpose indoor radio wih many add-on capabilities. Cosmetically this radio really is in top-notch condition; you honestly can I find this model in better much better shape. Could be wrong about this but it seems like another is out a bit further on one side than the other. You can view this best in 3rd to last photo, and you will see it is hardly noticeable. The wire needs to be inserted and adjusted the correct way for it to function properly. As long as the tabletop radio is in a stable location where the power wire will not be moved you will not have any issues. This is a common issue with these radios but is not a major problem. I don’t want to make it seem like this is a big problem but I will briefly describe the issue and how to work it. Once you have the wire set correctly you won’t have a problem. Please look at the 2 last photos included. Those photos show exactly how the wire should be placed when in use. Insert power wire all the way in and then ever so slightly pull it back out only 10% of input. The wire and remaining “slack” has to be coming from the. Make sure the power wire is not being pulled or tugged and can rest on surface. Simply check out the photos and you’ll see what I mean. Like I mentioned this is common with the Tivilo one and could be repaired if desired. I’m sure the interior side of power just needs a drop of solder.
