You can hook the audio out to a set of powered speakers if you rather. All you need to do is hook it up and start enjoying satellite radio. If you call Sirius and try they could cancel the subscription. Take care of it and it should last a long time. I record the SID number stored in the receiver. If you have a problem and need to return it you will need to return the same receiver with the same SID number and all parts.
