The receiver I have owned for longer than a year, and I have observed it to be working fine even after several “updates”. I cannot tell you that it will work forever, for your lifetime, my lifetime, or any specific amount of time for that matter as there would be an aggregate of variable factors which would determine the outcome of such. If you were to contact the SiriusXM company they would very likely cancel whatever subscription it has once you provide them with the ESN, yet cannot tell them the original owner’s name. The boombox / dock has a couple of cosmetic issues such as the stained speaker cover, and the rubber piece on the underside of the handle. The antenna connection is loose where the antenna plugs is, but it works fine even. CD player still works great. The remote control works fine, and has new batteries installed.
