With every accessory required, this complete set makes it very easy to start listening to satellite radio in your vehicle. The lifetime subscription on this radio consists of the “Sirius Select” package which has 120+ channels including HOWARD STERN. If you want to verify if this radio has a specific channel send me a message. The lifetime activation on this receiver is GUARANTEED. Cosmetically, the reciever is in great overall condition. The unit shows minor signs of previous use, but no major imperfections. The screens light is in perfect working condition with fully functional “brightness & contrast” settings. This model has an option to use orange or green as a backlight for both the screen and buttons. The screen does have some scuffing but nothing noticeable unless e amines under bright light. When the reciever is ON and functioning, these scuffs are unnoticeable. The unit is has been cleaned and looks great, no dust or anything. The Sportster receiver itself is in great working condition. All of the features have been tested and are work just fine. Like most SP-R1 receivers, on occasion the reciever might say “acquiring signal” which just takesusually if you are just turning it on. It needs to acquire a strong signal to start transmission. This is not any problem or anything….. ESPECIALLY since this will be used in a vehicle which always obtains the best reception. If this doesn’t immediately go away, for some reason if you poke the middle of reciever on the bottom of screen it quickly receives full signal. Also if you press the “band” button that can help too. I wanted to mention this little secret in case you have service issues in your area but if using in a vehicle you shouldn’t have a big issue. This activated lifetime subscription can only be used from this specific receiver and cannot be transferred. This Sportster SP-R1 model includes the strong “Pre-FCC” FM transmitter. The strong FM transmitter has the FM channels 87.7 / 87.9 available for transmission. Even though it includes the strong FM Transmitter, the vehicle kit includes a direct connection auxiliary wire, which is definitely the best method to use. Like mentioned, a brand new unopened Sportster vehicle kit is included. This Car Kit includes everything needed to quickly and easily connect, you do not need professional installation whatsoever. What makes these Sportster units the best is their overall compatibly with a home kit or Sportster boom box. The vehicle / home kits and Sportster boombox are compatible with both the SP-R1 & SP-R2 models along with the Streamer Replay. Upon arrival you can immediatey start listening to nearly every genre of commercial-free music, Howard Stern and much more. The lifetime subscription is only on this specific unit and cannot be transferred to any other. The receiver has had multiple channel updates and is in GUARANTEED active “lifetime” condition. You will have LIFETIME channels for the life of the reciever. As long as the unit is taken care of, there is no reason it should ever. Please have no hesitation, the subscription. I would not expect any problems with the radio I but if there ever was I would work any situation out with you… You would be at a loss with me. I have to say this too….. The sportster 5 is a poorly made thin model… I would not expect the others I sell to do the same but try to be careful. You are purchasing the Sirius Reciever with an active lifetime subscription. You are not purchasing a lifetime subscription account membership, meaning you cannot use the radios ID number to create any Internet account and you cannot transfer the activation to any other receiver. “Lifetime Subscription” is Continuous active channels on this specific receiver until the reciever dies (if it ever does).
