It has performed multiple channel updates. The screen has a perfect working backlight with both the contrast and dimming settings. This radio is in excellent condition all around. What happens is, sometimes on the radio will stay on logo screen when turned on until you press the menu button (which would bring you to the menu list) and then press the power off. 3 attempts at most. 1 thing, only use the blank “no team logo” startup screen (don’t change settings). Again, as long as radio is docked upright I would estimate it would not occurr. The 2-3x reset is very easy and takes only seconds, great price to pay for a one-of-a-kind unit & channels. This radio has the Advanced CPU allowing it to program the 170+ channels as opposed to the standard 125 channels this model normally has. Radio has Strong FM Transmitter starting at channel 87.7. The packaging does has some wear and tear but nothing major. The exterior plastic has some yellowing caused from years of storage and the sunlight shining down on package. No matter what the factory plastic looks like, all of the Home Kit accessories remain in new never used condition.
