ACTIVE Sirius STARMATE 5 w/ LIFETIME Sub. UNIT has been TESTED and is functioning correctly. Subscription Active, receiver is able to update and sync latest channels. Channels updated 11/3/2021 to include latest 10s Spot, Ch. Currently receiving 162 channels. Lifetime Sub is not guaranteed but likely. Dock and Car kit are not included, unit will arrive packaged as a standalone receiver. Unit has cosmetic imperfections, light scratches and slight scuffing on plastic surfaces. The screen retains no perceived damage and the backlight is excellent. This unit is able to update its channel list. With these units, (some are found through liquidation, garage/yard sales, estate sales, etc) being that their activation state is unknown but showing continued activation long after previous usage- best practice is to withhold inquiries with SiriusXM about the standings of the units subscription. These radios update their channel catalog every few months, and rarely- a Subscription Update will accompany one these catalog updates. (This may be superstition, or completely unnecessary) Ive found that it helps. TO ENSURE CONTINUED USAGE; In the event that the Radio prompts the user with the following message; Subscription Updated, Press Any Key to Continue. Do not press any keys to continue, rather power down the unit and wait several minutes before then again powering up the unit to continue with normal use.
