This was my personal unit, but I bought it at as estate sale. I have owned it for no less than 4 years and it is still working great. I think is safe to assume that the subscription is in fact a “lifetime” subscription. It is a basic subscription, but does include to Howard Stern channels along with other great stations like The Coffee House, etc. The power adapter is not the original, but has also been working just perfectly for the last 4 years as well. The antenna is not the original, and does not fit on the boombox. It is an “XM” antenna, but it works, and has been working for the last 4 years as well. Oh yeah, and the remote I picked up later and it is not original, but it also works great. I would VERY STRONGLY suggest that you do not contact Sirius XM as to inquire about the subscription for this one. I have done that in the past for other units, and the answer is always a NO, and then the unit seems to mysteriously quit working. They seem to be somewhat unscrupulous about these so-called lifetime agreements. So, like sleeping dogs… Well, you know the rest if you listen to radio. Please consider the pictures to be an integral, and primary part of the item’s description. Vehicle Dock (SP-C2) including mount arm, suction cup (well-used), and universal power adapter (which does have some electrical tape), and sirius car antenna. Original instruction manuals for radio and boombox. This radio has an active subscription. It may or may not be a lifetime. I’ve run it for days and days at a time since then (several months now), and it continues to be active. It gets all the channels as far as I can tell… Howard Stern, Raw Dog Comedy, music stations. Based on the age of the unit, I’m guessing it’s either a lifetime subscription or that Sirius is no longer sending a kill signal. So, I expect it to continue working, but it’s a gamble, I suppose. I will guarantee it comes to you working… But after that, I can’t make any guarantees. It features a headphone jack, aux in (for iphone or other device), and volume control. You can run it off batteries (not included). It also features a cool handle for portability. Sirius Sportster SP-R2 Satellite Radio and 2 -SP-B1a Boom Box Dock Activated
2 boom boxes, car kit, and home kit. Comes with power cords for all docks, 2 antennas (for boom boxes). All equipment is used and has some scratches and paint splatters on them. One boom box is missing it’s carry handle.
This is the strong fm version. Currently works and activated as of 12/31/13. Not sure how long it will last, i had a lifetime subscription. I transferred my lifetime to another radio and this old one has still been receiving a signal for over a month now. You will need to get a car magnet antenna to use in the car, available everywhere.
I love the portability of having it in the car, then office, then outside. Just added another home kit dock with power cord and fm cord.
