Even though this was one of the first models Sirius mass produced, I truly believe it is the best quality made unit. Everything you need is included to start listening to listen to your favorite music channels, Howard Stern and much much more. The receiver is is amazing shape condition all around. The screen looks and displays near perfect with a fully functional working backlight. The SP-R1 model has the ability to choose between orange and green as a lite up back screen! Both the brightness and contrast settings are fully functional and can be adjusted like new. The last photo included shows the strong FM transmitter (channel 87.7) and also displays the highest level of brightness. This Sportster SP-R1 Radio is really in top-notch condition, you could not ask for better shape when it comes to a “out of package” receiver. Not only does it work like new, but cosmetically it shows only the slightest signs of previous use. This receiver has had multiple channel updates and is in perfect working active condition! As long as this receiver works like they all do, the channels will continue to update and will never randomly, GUARANTEED! Included with the receiver is a brand new and factory sealed Sportster car kit. With this kit you can quickly and easily setup the receiver in your vehicle without the mess of dirty items or tangled wires. All of the items included in the kit are brand-new and has never been opened. This car kid is compatible with both of the original Sirius Sportster SP-R1/R2 recievers. The packaging of car kit is in pristine condition and shows NO signs of shelf / storage wear. The plastic packaging is crystal clear and could be described know better than case fresh. With this Sportster SP-R1, the best part is you will never have to pay for any subscription! The active “lifetime channels” are on this Receiver only and cannot be transferred to any other. The active channels Will work until this receiver is no longer in functional condition. With this dock and wire you can connect your receiver to nearly any audio device or large home audio system. The RCA Wire connects the dock to red/white RCA inputs, giving you the ability to connect your satellite radio to your loudspeaker system. If you want to connect the home dock to a smaller device with an auxiliary input, you can use the other wire included in the vehicle kit. You will need to obtain a home power adapter and antenna, but you could always use the car antenna if you draw it to a window or outside.
